What this system is
The Texas Wing Group 3 Intranet is an internal support tool operated by Group 3 staff. It is not an official Civil Air Patrol system and it is not the system of record. Civil Air Patrol eServices remains the authoritative source for membership, qualification, promotion, and personnel data. Always verify and make official changes in eServices.
Who may use it
Access is limited to Civil Air Patrol members whose accounts have been approved by a Group 3 administrator. Accounts are personal. Do not share your credentials, and do not allow another person to use your session.
Information we store
- Organizational information — your name, display name, grade, member type, squadron, duty position, role, and approval status. This is visible to other approved members through the Group 3 directory.
- Restricted information — your email address, phone number, the reason you gave for requesting access, and any administrative notes. This is stored separately and is visible only to you, to administrators, and to staff with a legitimate need within their assigned scope.
- Content you create — support requests, feedback, message-board posts, uploaded files, and similar records, together with the timestamp and the account that created them.
- Administrative activity — approvals, role changes, content moderation, and other staff actions are written to an append-only audit log.
Contact information
Phone numbers and email addresses are not published to the directory by default. You choose in your profile whether to share them. Cadet contact information is subject to stricter rules and is never published to the general directory.
Acceptable use
- Use this system only for legitimate Civil Air Patrol business.
- Do not post personally identifiable information about others, protected member data, or anything that would violate CAP regulations or the CAP Core Values.
- Do not upload material you are not authorized to distribute, and do not use the system to harass, demean, or retaliate against another member.
- Do not enter classified, law-enforcement-sensitive, or mission-restricted information.
- Report suspected misuse to a Group 3 administrator. Staff may remove content and suspend accounts.
Retention
Records are retained for as long as they are operationally useful. Rejected account requests retain a limited record for audit purposes; a rejected account has no access to protected data. Audit-log entries cannot be edited or deleted from the application.
Not a disciplinary system
The support-request and feedback features exist to help squadrons get assistance. They are not a complaint, inspection, or disciplinary channel. Matters requiring formal action should be raised through the chain of command.
